Mesut Kurtis, a prominent figure in nasheed and Islamic music, is celebrated for his versatile singing across multiple languages including Turkish, Arabic, English, Bosnian, and Albanian. Mesut’s musical journey began in his childhood, performing in local social clubs, mosques, and conferences. His debut album, “Salawat,” released in 2004, marked the beginning of his success, with a dedicated fan base growing rapidly. Mesut gained widespread recognition with the music video release of his rendition of the thirteenth-century ode, ‘Burdah,’ filmed off the coast of Turkey, amassing 34 million views. In 2009, he made history by launching his second album, “Beloved,” at the Jeddah branch of Virgin Megastore, Saudi Arabia. The third album, “Tabassam (smile),” released in Ramadan 2014, featured a duet with global superstar Maher Zain. Mesut’s collaboration with MBC on the operetta ‘Wa Alayka Ya Habib al-Salam’ in 2012 further solidified his stature. His fourth album, “Balaghal Ula,” released in May 2019, featured 13 tracks with duets including artists like Raef, Ali Mogrebi, Mohamed Nour, and Inteam, accompanied by four music videos shot in Malaysia and Tunisia.
